He supports it? Then why is Ryan et al still supporting him? That's unexpected. I shall google and learn. Thx

.To start with, during the primaries, Ryan took on Trump and it wasn't almost till voting day Nov. he gave him luke warm support.

I agree but I fear those far left me will be acting like trumpkins. Sigh.

I hear ya. I think it's important that the far left be vocal, helps pull the center but is too much to ask that it be sane?

Oh, no. Indeed it is not. The rhetoric on the left is the biggest thing that drove me away from progressivism.

The older I get the less I have paitence for the purist in any school of thought. The world is far too complex for either to be right.

That's the silver lining to this whole mess for me. I've made a conscious effort to seek out voices that disagree in an intelligent manner

It'll take time. There is so much more to people than the areas on which you disagree. If you keep trying to find it, people will come along
