Um... do you REALLY not see a difference? 1) They named specific food items. Presumably, items they've eaten. 2) You characterize an entire CULTURE's food. Not 1 dish. Not 10 dishes. Not the variety of dishes from North to South to East to West India. And from what source?

No asshole. You said ‘why do WE pretend..’ which is an othering, garbage dismissal of a whole culture. Feel FREE, fuckstick, to say ‘I think it’s terrible’ which is valid, if wrong. But to posit a nationwide, secret cultural rejection gets you burnt. And you deserve it.

And basically raises the question of who does he mean with “we”? Because it’s not anyone who comes from a culture where food is supposed to have flavor. “We pretend it isn’t” is a coded phrase; that was the problem people brought up—and notice how he left it off the new tweet
