Racism isn’t simply “being mean” to another race. Cultural appropriation isn’t simply “taking another person’s culture.” The key component missing from your ahistorical analysis is POWER.

If you’re an adult on the Twitter, you ought to understand this by now with all the Racism 101 curriculum being served here for YEARS. But no; y’all are being deliberately obtuse. Y’all don’t WANT to learn. This is yet another case of willful ignorance.

This idea that marginalized folks don’t understand nor want a free society because we think cultural appropriation is wrong is hilarious; I want you to stop wearing my pretty things but I don’t think you belong in jail for it, Chad.

Let's be careful not to say "all the white people" ~ because ALL WHITE PEOPLE aren't responsible for the racial mess that is always forefront in America. You'd be quick to pounce if someone said "all the black people" and would find it equally as insensitive. Atheist here...

Hell, Catholics forced their religions even on other whites. They're the reason we know jack shit about just about any Western European pagan religions; Catholicism suffers no rivals.

By your logic, it would be. Catholics, especially Christians, are marginalized, even killed, every day for their faith in some parts of the world (over 50 nations). Despite the race which you inaccurately associate Christianity with, its disrespectful.

I was brought up Catholic and honestly, I knew this would get certain reactions but there’s no way you can appropriate the dominant culture 🙄
