I finally confessed to one of my coworkers that no, I wasn't suffering from allergies during the interview. I had simply made the mistake of listening to Show Yourself in an attempt to get myself pumped for the interview and accidentally made myself emotional.
For months before I decided to change jobs, I would play Into the Unknown and sing it at the top of my lungs on my drive to work (and then, later, in my house between meetings). In hindsight I was pre-processing my decision to make a change. Singing is my favorite therapy!
