Simonov is a human rights defender who works on a wide range of issues in Sochi.

Of course it's a relief that it's not prison time. But Simonov spent: -- a year on travel ban -- 8 months on criminal trial for accusations that are utterly without merit, and for which he’ll have a criminal record --years under harassment, intimidation, etc by authorities
