    The exact same can be said for learning remotely vs. in-person. All of my kids (formerly honor roll, nat'l merit scholars, Valedictorian) failed most of their classes and/or are on academic probation this past school year. Ages spanning from 12 - 19.

    In-person classes are not the same as teaching online/remote. It's like admin learned nothing the past 3 semesters. You cannot just switch to remote at the drop of a hat.

    Went apartment hunting yesterday with a 27-year-old desperate to find a home for her and her kids, after being unhoused for the last year. Each landlord charged a fee to apply. One required a $60 app fee AND a $150 admin fee, up front, both nonrefundable. The extortion is unreal.
