Four years ago I saw people on the Hill dragged out of their wheelchairs to be arrested for protesting outside of a hearing room.
Police had dozens of plastic handcuffs at the ready just for "repeal and replace" talks. These were folks peacefully laying down in hallways, begging for their Medicaid benefits not to be slashed.https://twitter.com/RachelHBluth/status/912386770683224064?s=20 …
And they were protesting for a good cause: affordable healthcare for all including those with pre-existing conditions, in the most peaceful way. And now this.
Imagine if Black Lives Matter protesters did something like this? Thousands would be dead by now! But BLM protesters did not even consider this kind of mob vandalism of our nations capital.
So swiftly forgotten.
