Excited to be returning as a judge for this year. I love seeing great new writing, especially in YA, middle-grade, fantasy & sci-fi.

I've a wormhole in my pocket. My phone fell in it, so I called it from a payphone and spoke to a parallel me. "I'll return it," I said. My phone appeared in my pocket, ringing. "I lost my phone," I said. "I'll return it," I said, then plunged it back down the hole.

Periodically, I have a little seethe over the fact children’s books are often treated as lesser, but when you ask people about the book that had the most impact on them it’s nearly always a book they read as a child

So, I don't play sports. I don't watch sports. As a kid, I was thankful for the flu that let me avoid a Superbowl party. But The Crossover, by makes me want to play basketball. Great story, about more than sports. If you haven't read it, you should.
