  3. Any enthusiasts have advice on how I can turn kvass and fermented beets I've made into a tasty borscht? I have homemade chicken stock in the freezer. I was thinking of combining all three, cooking, and blending. Any tips or advice much appreciated!

If you're feeling grossed out by election politics today, feast your eyes on Hogarth's "The Election Entertainment" from 1755, satirizing a county election in Oxford. So many great details!

For everyone curious about this tidbit of information, I got it from Sidney Mintz's classic "Sweetness and Power." Here's the text, with the Latin primary source quoted!
