Not sure I fully believe in this. Sounds like a Bennett willing to take all heat to cool off the charges of meddling/corruption. Something smells awfully convenient given Bellegarde's initial reaction on the floor. No way, they wouldn't have said that from the get go.

I don’t know. Two things are clear, if AFN did know, then what’s all the talk about the inexperienced Poitras- enlighten her if you know ahead of time. And if Bennett was told to stay and came anyway what was she trying to accomplish?
-
There is so much off about all of this. LPC has zero to lose & everything to gain at this point w/a fall 2019 deadline - optics & ethics be damned. Sales, sales, sales whether the Chiefs are aware or not. Keep seeing the video of Perry's reaction too when the other 3 told him.

Is there any reason to think Bellegarde wouldn't have won anyway? Of course it would have looked bad if it had taken many ballots to 'achieve' that.
-
Maybe but the Minister interfered. Too bad for
@perrybellegarde it's a fraudulent election now.@AFN_Updates -
Perhaps this interference (or appearance of) was done not stupidly, not arrogantly, but precisely to provide people with a distraction from the real issues.
-
She did it to remind the chiefs about the pipeline money. It's too obvious.
-
Surely they didn't need reminding on which side bannock is buttered. Seeing how wonderfully 'election interference' has gas-lighted our closest southern neighbours, would be willing to bet similar thing is being done here. Probably never have proof tho.
