I'd be fine with it if they would have explained it in their email, or made an announcement explaining what this is and how it works? It just started happening to apparently a fair number of us and no one gave us any explanation why lol Well, this is why we diversify our income.

Sorry these emails caused confusion! We regularly review videos (even if you don't request one) and these emails get sent as part of that manual review process. Even if the video was green, you could have had a manual review + email confirming it's enabled for monetization.

It doesn't seem to happen until the video goes public. We often upload our first draft a few days ahead of time and just keep it up while we adjust stuff for the final. But maybe I'm wrong. So far it's happened overnight on the 1st night public (and we upload in the evening).
