    I wrote about realising that cars - the noise, pollution - affect my mental health. Plus up to 36,000 of us die every year from air pollution. It ain't no joke.

    Hard relate. This is so well written.

    I heard a man crying on the radio about having no work and it led to me write this. Was moved by his courageous honesty so, in that spirit, have tried to follow suit... On losing work, losing my sense of self and being stranded in the shame of it all.

    Did you want a green economy? Sorry to disappoint. All we get is 3bn worth of measures. 2bn of that is retrofit houses to save energy - 2bn to be shared by 343 local authorities! This will 'take equiv of 270k cars off the road'. There are close to 40m cars on our roads.

    Summer statement - nothing for domestic violence victims, nothing for renters? We've got more careers advisers, more money for Job Centre coaches, a cut in stamp duty and VAT, encouraging a lack of social distancing through vouchers to eat out. Nothing bold here.

    Sunak says it's harder to get back into work the longer you're out. So his solution is to provide more work coaches at job centres and career advisers!! Good luck with that as mine was useless.
