I wouldn't say it's New York that I miss, exactly; it's more the Italian chicken sandwich from the place in Astoria that is a near-exact replica of a Chirping Chicken but is *not* a Chirping Chicken.

Have you had Heirloom Market BBQ or CommunityQ? If not, you really need to check them out. Heirloom is kind of a fusion of southern/Texas and Korean. It’s not far from Braves stadium barely inside 285.
I have not been to either place, but I'm definitely going to try them now.

Sides to check out at Heirloom: Chili (only during winter; they add cheese & sour cream on top unless you tell them); Brussels Sprouts with a sauce (seasonal) and Korean Sweet Potatoes (year round, but not on menu). Everything there is gold. Same at CommunityQ.
