haha no, it happened by coincidence, by virtue of who was closest to the scene and who was available to pitch in.

Nicely crafted non-escalating response. Kudos. But of course I was speaking about the larger picture, which looks to me like an increasing Balkanization of news coverage that has to undercut journalistic ideals of objectivity. Are those officially passé now?
