For some reason, I keep watching all these period dramas, which lead me to imagine myself as an old-timey king or, like, a witty noble. But I’m 100% certain that if I were around then, I’d be that servant who’s always hiding behind the drapes eavesdropping.
The one I’m watching now is the TV show Versailles, which is basically The Crown, except the British people are pretending to be French, everyone is almost always naked, and the king’s estranged ex-mistress apparently used witchcraft to try to win him back.
