The Speaker @SpeakerPelosi should support impeachment of the President @realDonaldTrump for high crimes and misdemeanors, and also should insist that all Members in their language and actions demonstrate the dignity, fairness and composure required to undertake that serious task.

I usually agree w you
@RWPUSA but not this time. I’m with her 100%. Every D should be shouting the same thing from every mountaintop!! The traitor in chief does not deserve respect of any kind!! -
Impeach him. I support that 100%. But insults laden with foul language only reflect badly on the person who uses them and the institution to which that person belongs. Such juvenile behavior makes it harder for the House to get rid of him or even stand up to him.
-
I think you're mistaken,
@RWPUSA . Not juvenile behavior, but an appropriate and honest reaction. By any reasonable definition the idiom fits. It's time to stop with the euphemisms and start calling things by their real names. -
He is corrupt and psychologically deranged. He is a pervert. But the one thing he did not do to the best of our knowledge is the grotesque act referred to in her unseemly statement. Democrats who defend everything other Democrats do are like Republicans who always defend Trump.

Please. We aren't classicists. We're not talking about Oedipus and Jocasta here. We're talking about the wonderful American language and it's epithets. This one fits perfectly.
-
Also, one of the important reasons the man is currently president is reasoning that goes like this: "Yes, he is that but don't say it! It's not a nice thing to say! They might hold it against us!"

I'm sick of women being expected to apologize for using the same language men use. She called Trump an expletive. He has said far worse about women, especially women of color, insulting their intelligence, dehumanizing them. Hold Trump accountable for his words and actions 1st.
-
Yes us silly women. Again Girl Power!!! I like her even more than I did before!

Agreed. I wouldn't use that language. But considering that
@realDonaldTrump has never once apologized for his ugly language, then she doesn't need to either. -
We need to not become so numbed by what
@realDonaldTrump has done that we forget who we are. Character matters, for the sake of our children and our country, we must do better and be better than what has been done to us.#DemsTakeTheHouse -
I don't disagree with that. Definitely need to avoid normalizing Trump's behavior. I think we can chalk this up to her being excited. It was one time. If it becomes a regular part of her speech, it should be addressed, but let this one go, while also taking note of your words.

I don't appreciate any woman being told how to speak anymore. Nope. No way. Not okay. She is not only a woman, but a woman of color. Her rage does not have to be tamped down to make you, a white man of privilege, feel comfortable. She won her election.

Whatever. If she was repeating Putin propaganda I’d be far more upset.
