Congress has the power to investigate and oversee the executive branch. As we've seen over the last two days, you can't simply rely on the courts to protect our country's values.
The passive approach to dealing with the Trump administration's blatant lawlessness is appeasement.

Minnesota voters, if you have a soul please seriously consider electing Painter - this man has consistently put the welfare of the country above politics and repeatedly spoken out about ethical lapses in DC - the country needs his conscience in Congress - PLEASE.
