My opponent, @timburchett, voted against a bipartisan bill that expanded housing to homeless veterans (HR 2398).
He was one the only "no" vote in Tennessee.
Our district has 52,035 veterans. The least we can do is ensure they & their families have a bed to sleep on.

Something about these numbers bothered me. There may very well be 52,000 veterans in the 2nd district but the number of homeless vets across the state averages about 75 vets per district. The second district doesn’t need the federal government in that way.
