More Rs will vote in general. Many don’t vote in primaries. There isn’t anything special about this.

obviously turn out is higher in the general for both parties but the fact that D outvoted R for the first time in decades is the part that is significant

US Senate Republicans want to give billions to corporations and pennies to ordinary citizens; voting Republican is not in the interest of most East Tennesseans. Also, don’t forget Trump and the Republicans gave the wealthy and corporations massive tax cuts in 2018.
