To community leaders and other candidates — I know the decision to cancel events & meetings is a difficult one. It takes time, sweat, & money to plan them. But we must show leadership in these times & prioritize public health over everything else – politics included.
I know there is a lot of fear right now. But there is also a lot of need. My campaign is fortunate enough to be equipped to meet some of that need: we have a healthy, dedicated, young staff, financial resources, and plenty of big-hearted volunteers.
In the coming days, we plan to redirect our staff and all campaign resources towards addressing some of the need in East Tennessee. Stay tuned for more updates, and whether it’s food, comfort, or something else, reach out if you or someone you know needs assistance.
