You are confusing that with SSI tax which is capped at 132900. Medicare is 1.45 percent up to 200000 (2.9) including employer and .9 for all above 200k. You all are running out of things to tax.
Yes. They have many salaries over $132,000 and they don't pay 7.5%. All my salaries were under that amount and so I paid 7.5% on every dollar of payroll.

WOW. Your entire narrative in this chain is that to fund your Medicare for all or to add 55 and above is the higher incomes don't pay 'their fair share' and removing the cap would fund it. I showed you that was wrong, that they are even penalized more for making over 200K.

I would have at least respected you if you had said you were wrong and you want to tax them even more instead of trying to deflect the point. If you don't understand why there's a cap on SSI at 133K, that would be because there's a cap on what you can draw no matter what you make
