I do believe that a public option should be available. But what if I want to maintain private insurance?
Honestly, I don't have a problem with folks wanting to keep private insurance. I think if Medicare works as it's working now for everyone, you won't need private insurance.

Clearly the mandate will have to come back or this doesn't work. I don't think the government needs to underwrite the entire plan. Currently Medicare has a premium. I think there needs to be a premium on a sliding scale for this to work.
