Furthermore, there is no compensation for work currently being done that is very meaningful. I speak of caregivers who are dealing with family members end of life or other abilities. This is uncompensated employment that is a real hardship for many people.
While $1,000/mo is not full employment, I think it will allow a measure of freedom for people and help them be financially secure. We need to be brave about the coming challenges and face them head on, instead of hoping they will go away.
