Love getting a copyright claim off somebody I've never heard of when I've used music a friend has made/performed themselves. If he sampled it, then I didn't have a clue that he did. #YouTube @YouTube @YTCreators
Let's see how the dispute system works.

Even if you have permission, you still need to add your own unique, creative value to be eligible for YPP. You may want to check out the FAQs and best practices here: https://yt.be/help/reused-content …. Hope this info helps.

1) The work is my own 2) My friend's music is background music. 3) It's not him that the copyright claim has come from. 4) The video is not monetized as I'm not interested in that or YPP right now. 5) You love moving the goalposts every 5 minutes.

Sometimes it can be hard to understand why a rights owner has claimed your video, but we're making improvements to how we detect and surface third party content. This is why we created a process for uploaders to dispute claims, more here: https://yt.be/help/LKJN

And if I have paid for a licence I fully expect that to be accepted by YouTube or I go elsewhere.

If you cleared the rights to use copyrighted material in your video, you may want to give the copyright owner your video's title and URL, to avoid a mistaken removal or block. Dispute mistaken claims: https://yt.be/help/LKJN
