"As many as 1 in 6 health workers said that if employers required them to get vaccinated, they would leave their job". OK, bye. I don't want you breathing on me in the break room.https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2021/03/19/health-workers-covid-vaccine/ …

Agreed. Flu vaccine is mandatory, though, and plenty of people seem to get out of it

It seem like it should be a job requirement. I know most hospitals require CPR training, annual TB tests, and other vaccines.

I don’t want them breathing on my patients. And I don’t want them breathing on my family members. For the same reason that I wouldn’t hire a flat earther to captain a boat around the world. They aren’t qualified.

So disheartening to see such sentiment so pervasive among healthcare workers.

Then let them. There are plenty of people who would take a recession-proof job with benefits.

I find this very strange. My husband works in the medical field and he’s not allowed to step foot in a hospital unless his vaccines are up to date. I don’t see why a Covid vaccine would be any different.

I am 100% on board with vaccination and am vaccinated against Covid myself. That said, the reason a Covid vaccine is different is that they are all still technically investigational drugs being used under emergency authorization. It is not a good argument but it is something.
