Trump froze student debt payments two and a half years ago, so the inflationary effect of the added demand is already baked in. Cancelling $10K and restarting payments on the remainder would be disinflationary.

A sudden large spike in spending power of a significant chunk of the consumer population tends to cause inflationary pressures, true. But aren't the homeowners clamoring for lower rates so they can sell their homes at their preferred sale price?

RNC needs to get the word out about this. Most people have no idea that the cancellation would be taxpayer funded. There is no disincentive for schools to charge crazy tuition. Republicans must explain the details!

10,000 forgiveness is barely anything to those who have more than 50k which is probably more than half of the population. how does that mean ppl wont take responsibility if they still gotta pay the rest . 🤡
