I was 16 in 1973 when the Arab oil embargoes against America started. We had odd/even license plate rationing AND lines. We also had sugar and TP shortages. it was around the 1980 mark. The same time as the olympics when our hockey team kicked Russias butt, and of course the same time that Carter couldn't get our hostages back. As soon as Reagan took office, the lines stopped and our hostages were home.

Abby Phillips is no more than 40 and wasn’t alive during the Republican Nixon years, 1973 specifically, when the Arab oil embargo caused gas lines and rationing. I don’t recall gas lines at all during the Carter years. If the RNC was the least bit honest, it would correct this.
