    In the interest of indicating how climbing protection has moved on, here's a shot of my first nut, a Troll wedge I think. Unusually it had one hole drilled through vertically. It held one short leader fall (not mine.) Now retired!

    Some of you may remember the bizarre inflated whiptails (Macrouroides inflaticeps) that were collected during last years cruise. They’ve now been CT scanned and show two interesting features, very poor skull development and huge otoliths. Many thanks !
