It's always hard on the families of service men and women this time of year. Mixed emotions of joy as those return just before and sadness of those deploying just prior to Christmas. As ex forces I have seen both emotions.

Being deployed does not only effect the individual but also a whole range of people around them - families, friends and, in the case of #Reservists, employers.
