Just found out someone is running my latest FNAF video as an advertisement? This shouldn't be possible but my analytics say otherwise. The fact that it's happening (as of the 6th of August) is super concerning. Normally someone has to grant permissions for that, and nothing was.

There is a sponsored slot in the video but those are two different things. In order for a video to be ran as an advertisement, the user has to have an Adwords account affiliated with their channel. Only mine is from years ago and no campaigns are running.

This is SUPER problematic because someone can title the advertisement as whatever they want. It basically replaces the video title and offers two lines for a descriptions. On the outside looking in, it looks like a controversial video despite it being super tame with debating.

But if it's being ran as an advertisement, that changes the perception. It looks like I'm paying to get my message out to prove it's right... And that isn't the case at all.
@TeamYouTube, I know my MCN is trying to get this sorted out, but how is something like this possible?3 replies 2 retweets 29 likesShow this thread
Sorry, you’re not as big as @theh3podcast so YouTube won’t do shit on here...
At least that seems to be their piss poor stance
