Confirming some of the fears we reported last Friday, the Telegraph is reporting that two SpaceX employees have tested positive for COVID-19https://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/2020/03/24/elon-musks-spacex-puts-employees-quarantine-two-workers-get/amp/ …

We were chasing this story as well, and can confirm that one of the people that tested positive was an on-side medical worker at the SpaceX Health Center in Hawthorne. That person had seen 12 patients at work in the three days before falling ill.

On March 13, Musk told SpaceX employees that he didn't view the coronavirus as in the top 100 health risks in the US and said employees have a greater chance of dying in a car crash:https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/ryanmac/elon-musk-spacex-employees-car-crash-coronavirus …

Last Fri we reported on the fears of SpaceX employees and childcare workers who said they had been potentially been exposed to those tested for COVID-19. Now some of their worries are confirmed. SpaceX's Hawthorne HQ has ~5,000 employees and remains open.https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/ryanmac/spacex-teachers-fear-coronavirus-elon-musk …

Since then Musk has donated 1,200+ ventilators and stated his companies will build the devices, suggesting he's taking the issue a bit more seriously. It's undeniable, however, that his early views on the virus affected his companies' responses and exacerbated worker fears.

It is OK because Musk says nothing to worry about.
