There is no immediate danger and no threat to staff or students. Police and emergency services are in attendance have the situation under control.

All classes in Building 80 have been cancelled for the afternoon and we are asking staff and students to stay away from the area while authorities manage the situation. The back entrance of Building 80 and Stewart Street are now closed.

Hey, probably a good time to send a text or at least email out to let all students no there is no immediate danger. You've created some what a state of panic.

Agreed but they had to put some sort of statement out, and their statement urges not to panic because it's under control yet people will panic anyway. No win situation
