I agree it's a concern. Note that it's also easier for the affluent to homeschool - generally, affluent will be better placed to avoid following a tighter mandate (or other public school changes they dislike). I don't like that, but I like kids getting sick even less.

I agree. Fact of life: As these bills/laws subject to politics, there will be trade-offs: status quo or something better-but-less-than-ideal. I wasn't happy w/how CA SB276 or WA's bill (MMR only) turned out, but one can't approach legislation in all or nothing way.
