1 - I think that a lot of people don't realize that IBM and the Hyperledger project (created by the Linux Foundation) are two separate entities. The Linux Foundation is arguably the largest non-profit organization in the world with over +800 members.

2 - Its sole purpose is to essentially serve as an incubator for its members to build sustainable ecosystems around open source projects to accelerate blockchain technology development and commercial adoption.

3 - IBM has no overall direct control over the implementation and development of Hyperledger’s DLT platform as it is open-sourced and has many contributors.
