Suzanne has been coming to the food pantry for several years, using the food she receives to feed her elderly mother and herself. Food costs in Rhode Island climbed up 13% from 2021 to 2022, meaning many families like Suzanne’s can no longer afford adequate food.

Thanks to generous customer donations at , the Food Bank received $29,271.47 through the #NourishingNeighbors Fuel Our Kids. Feed Our Future campaign. In addition, Shaw’s presented us with Own Brand peanut butter, cereal, and more to help stock our shelves.

Fresh from our warehouse to our member agencies - avocados! This fruit is full of heart-healthy fats and is a major source of potassium. The avocado has a slightly nutty or buttery taste depending on the ripeness and variety, with a smooth texture.
