Avril is one of the sharpest, hardest-working, and flat-out kindest people around. She'll very successfully lead the intelligence community as DNI. Bravo!

Jake will be great as National Security Advisor. Sober, thoughtful, ecumenical in soliciting perspectives, and trusted by the President-elect. The right guy for a critical job.

It’s over. In conversations public and private, it’s clear that the world is moving on. Administration officials, members of Congress on both sides, the incoming Biden team, the country: all moving on. It’s over.

This is where we are. The statement by Michigan lawmakers that “candidates who win the most votes win elections,” represents not a banality but a setback to the President who wishes otherwise. This low moment in American democratic life will pass. It must.
