The video of Tyre Nichols being brutalized by police officers should remind us that injustices can’t be justified. No one is above the law, especially those who are charged with enforcing the law. My prayers go out to the Nichols family during this time of great sorrow.

To forget the suffering inflicted on the victims of the Holocaust is to be indifferent to the sins of our past. On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we must honor and venerate the millions of innocent lives lost to ensure such atrocities are never repeated. #NeverAgain

Because Dr. King was right, “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” I and advocates against human trafficking spoke to students at Worthing HS concerning the realities of human trafficking. We must work tirelessly to eradicate this threat to our nation’s children.

Peaceful protest is a fundamental right upon which many other rights are dependent. Iranians peacefully protesting shouldn’t be treated as terrorists. In the words of President JFK, those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable. #barayeiran

What do you call a violent mob who assaults our nation’s Capitol, the citadel of democracy, to prevent the peaceful transfer of power with rebel flags, Nazi paraphernalia, a gallows & noose in tow? An insurrection. #January6th

The great American jurisprudential system is being tested. The House Select Committee has done its job. If no one is truly above the law, the DOJ will bring former President Trump before the bar of justice.
