Never knew you could lose views on Youtube...@TeamYouTube that’s a new one. My view count for a video literally just said 4,601 then I refreshed it and now it says 4,600. Things that make you go hmmm

They verify views after 301, which is why you can lose some

That was back when people used bots to get views. YouTube used to freeze views at that number and nobody really knew the actually view count until a couple hours later when those views were verified. So popular videos were always at 301 when they released.

But they don’t do that anymore. They let all views in now and if a view is thought it be a bit then they set it aside to analyze it while legit views continue to filter through. Then when it’s approved it’s added to the legit views. They don’t do the 301 thing anymore.
