    What other clinicians think is unhealthy about my diet: - skipping breakfast - not snacking - full fat dairy - bacon - daily eggs What is actually unhealthy about their diet: - cereal for breakfast - refined carbs - frequent snacking/lots of fruit - low protein, low healthy fats

    If I had a account, I would post a video that says: A common cause of being hungry at the end of the day - Is not enough protein intake earlier on. Lack of protein catches up to you and manifests as hunger, but many reach for carbs/snack. There are also other reasons.

    Ha, I have indeed done a lit review for B12! 1000+ may be too high: > 738 may be too high: > 514 may be too high: But more measures than just B12 would be good. How about inflammation (CRP)?

    A lot of people tell me they don't like the taste of water or need it to be flavoured and because I don't recommend artificial sweeteners, this is what I recommend. Fruit infused water is delicious.

    One of my biggest pet peeves is staff who wear perfume at the hospital. So obnoxious and apathetic to the scent free policy. Also off putting cheap perfume most of the time.

    To lose weight, need to burn fat. Carb stores (glycogen - muscle + liver, small reserve) = checking account - if ≠ depleted, will ≠ access savings --> fat stores. To deplete, need to 🛑 replenishing carbs. Excess carbs turn to fat also. The < carb intake, the > fat oxidation.

    Often I see women who either have PCOS and have not been diagnosed (confirmed later), or have it and have not been offered treatment/explanation. PCOS is common (up to 10%) and makes weight loss more difficult. This is important to know, as often women will blame themselves.

    Guys. Watch just for 15 sec at 43:50. I was shocked so many said that. This is what is wrong with America. She first answered pop, which was a duplicate, and then she said Kool-Aid 😂 which I would have categorized as same thing. Tea? Water? Milk?

    Lack of sleep⬆️cravings due to ⬆️ in ghrelin (increases hunger), ⬇️ in leptin (suppresses hunger), and ⬆️in insulin resistance. But if you are dealing with chronic illness that makes you lethargic, it can also affects carb cravings bc body is looking for rapid source of energy.

    Common causes of hair loss in women are often hormonal: - high androgens from birth control - hypothyroidism - low estrogen - PCOS Nutritional: - low iron (most common nutrition cause) - protein malnutrition - overall malnutrition if significant (B vitamins, zinc, EFAs, etc.)

    An RN I work with calls me the protein police. For lunch I had a chicken thigh, cabbage roll, and burger. A different RN that I work with had a veggie wrap with just veggies and cheese.
