it means they want to use your video in a mashup video montage talking about all the crazy, fanboy rumors going around for like 0.8 seconds dudehttps://twitter.com/jon_prosser/status/1037502804137525249 …

I just got an email from GOOGLE'S HARDWARE team about one of my Pixel 3 XL videos... I can't tell you much. But, the fact that they reached out to ME, of all people... You know what kind of videos we've made about the Pixel 3 XL. This is going to be insanity,

the thing being suggested is, alternately: Google plays vlogger conspiracy video, Rick Osterloh enters from stage left: "Dang, young YouTube vlogger, you got us. That's definitely the Pixel 3 after all. We thought we had you all fooled! But you totally pwned us."

They want a very small slice of footage of your video (not audio) to showcase the leaks, and you're making this out to be something else in order to get more views, so... 🙄

Oh wow, that thread is so sad. Like, wake up, guys. No company is going to fake a "bad" version of their product. It would just drive people to stop waiting and go with a competitor. Why would the marketing department allow you to purposely harm your brand and lose customers?

I don't even see what the big deal is. People are stressing too much about this. What's leaked is probably the final product. Either buy it or don't. Personally I think the notch is ugly, but Pie seems to handle it well so I plan on purchasing the Pixel 3 XL.

So you're going to buy a phone you think is ugly? That's the reason they don't care about making bad or ugly phones because people will still buy them even though they don't like them.

I hope they're paying him.... Other companies do the same and they pay very well for that .08 seconds. Lol.

more like it means they want the rights to the videos so one else can make montages bashing the notch
