    The Queen was also shown Queen Victoria’s Autograph fan from . The fan was given to The Queen in 1887 to mark her Golden Jubilee by The Prince and Princess of Wales, later King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, and is signed by friends and relations of Queen Victoria.

    This year The Queen will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, marking 7⃣0⃣ years as Monarch. To begin the celebrations, Her Majesty viewed a selection of cards, letters and artwork sent to her by children and other members of the public to mark this, and previous, Jubilees.

    Not for absinthe, but tea. 🫖 It's a mote skimmer or mote spoon. The pierced bowl was used to remove unwanted tea-leaves (or motes) from a tea cup.☕️ The pointed handle was used to clear the spout of a teapot if it became blocked with tea-leaves.

    Can you guess what this was used for? It’s a pierced (the swirling patterns are holes) silver-gilt object, 14.4 cm long and belonged to Queen Charlotte. We’ll reveal the answer tomorrow.
