Alberta RCMP received a complaint of a car speeding on Hwy 2 near #Ponoka. The car appeared to be self-driving, travelling over 140 km/h with both front seats completely reclined & occupants appeared to be asleep. The driver received a Dangerous Driving charge & summons for court

Cochrane RCMP received a call from a gas station. The lone employee called to report there was a snake in the store. Members responded & coaxed the python out from under the chip display. The fierce predator turned out to be a cute grass snake who was released back into the wild.

#HighPrairie RCMP received a report that a 5 year old was missing from a residence on #EastPrairieMetisSettlement. RCMP attended & an extensive search of the area was coordinated. An RCMP Police Dog Service handler & PSD Hasko located the child who was found safe and unharmed!

The unlawful protest on Hwy 4 continues to impede traffic flow in the Coutts area. There are increased concerns for pedestrian safety. Don't gather or walk on hwys. Regardless of slowed traffic/delays, vehicles continue to move throughout the area & pose an increased safety risk.

PSD Roy worked his final shift last week. He and Cpl. Drenka tracked and apprehended a suspect who was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Roy now permanently lives a cushy life with the Drenka family. Congrats on retirement! #TonguesOutThursday

Last month, PDS responded to a complaint of stolen vehicles. The suspect fled and the team tracked the suspect over 12 km. The suspect was caught, but Kitzel suffered an injury. Kitzel received surgery and is back to his normal self! Thanks Cst. Reid and Kitzel! #DogsOnDuty
