It started in the early 70's, with Meir Kahane. Palestinians ALL became "Moslem"..That worked later with RFK murder, Iran, Afghanistan. The history goes back to the birth of America, with waves of anti-Muslim electorate. It continues now with Xtians as refugees from the ME.
