As long as we have people who are addicted to drugs, who are willing to destroy their own bodies and their own lives, no amount of investment on the law enforcement is going to solve this problem.

he’s right. investing in outreach services, public housing, drug treatment programs will have a greater impact than more funding to LE.

Bull! The homeless coalition gets almost a half a billion a year to help the Homeless addicts but all we see is more of them and their drug dealers. Where is the $ going to?

So giving more $ to the Homeless Coalition is the right thing to do? Then why are more streets in SF look like the walking dead have taken over? Show me anything that they have done positive for the homeless addicts that either got them off drugs or got them housed... Tic tok

I don’t know anything about the SF Coalition on Homelessness. I don’t have a lot of faith in big non-profits. How do they allocate their budget?

Who knows... They haven't been audited and neither has any of the Homeless programs and organizations (which there is 60+) that SF freely hands out close to a billion dollars. Their homeless dept that is suppose to allocate resources to these programs is on its 3rd manager.
