I don’t care that she’s still employed by this venal farce of an administration. I will care when some dc lobby shop or some university hires her later and whitewashes this whole chapter.

Which will happen. 50 bucks says she gets a contributor gig on cnn.

#boycott em. And no Harvard speeches either. Or G’town. -
Why not both? I care they still employ her, and will care when the rug sweeping network moves in to pretend her cruelty was just fine. I only hope the House can investigate the pattern of intentional deprivation, ice box, separation etc.

You would think basic care would be part of the process when confronting persons coming into the country illegally.....yes, basic care - food, water, and warmth....is it to much to ask that our government see that the boarder agents have these necessities at hand?
-
In AZ I was told that if an illegal immigrant comes onto my property and they ask for water I have to supply it. I’m not a horrible human so if someone asks me for water I will give them water. So it boggles my mind that the basic humane rights are ignored.

Careful not to stir up too much outrage here, Mr Reich. She might get yelled at in a restaurant and we'd all have to lament about our uncivil politics.

-
What does a rogue group of people behaving badly have to do with a death of an innocent child and giving any person the most basics of human rights (eg: water, food and access to medical care when needed?)
-
I'll be straight: It was juxtaposition when I suggested that this girl's death in CBP custody was somehow less outrageous than Secretary Nielsen getting flak during dinner. I'm livid about that poor girl's death, but pretending to be upset over incivility.
-
I'm not supposed to side with the uncivil in earnest, so I use glancing humor to make opposition to that incivility look ridiculous. When it comes to the people in charge of this cruelty, seeing them yelled at when they go in public makes me quite happy. They deserve more of it.
-
Didn’t read it that way and I apologize. There are so many tweets blaming everyone except those that should be giving even the most basic of human rights and aren’t and a baby paid the price. Such a very painful horrendous death. Thank you for explaining.
-
Nothing to forgive. I'm glad to have the chance to state things plainly, and I think we're on the same side.

trump administration. that's how.

Let's call it the Trump regime. He's not presidential and they have little regard for public service.

Because her boss is worse than her. The lack of humanity of those carrying the message of democracy and freedom is at the lowest in modern history. We should expect more from leaders in government.

Otto Warmbier broke a law in North Korea and paid with his life. Americans were OUTRAGED at his treatment. I refuse to accept
@SecNielsen's excuse that it was Jakelin's own fault she is dead!
Breaking a law isn't an AUTOMATIC DEATH SENTENCE! #JakelinCaal#TheResistance - 1 more reply
