On this Day 1842 Maj D Isaster led Maj P Roblem, Maj J Oak and Maj D Cision from a poky trench just outside the town of Lipsk (Germany) to unsuccessful take on 255,000 enemy troops during the Battle of the Bulge. They became known as the Four Horsemen of the Poky Lipskpic.twitter.com/VS4ktQJOrR

Photograph clearly colourised from a Can(b)erra - b for bi-plane. But this leaves the question: was the Can(b)erra in colour too, or is it stuck as black and white?

I think you’ll find you have the wrong Cision. In fact, it was his brother, Maj Ian D Cision.

A similar event happened at Sevastopol when vastly outnumbered, 4 men of the Royal Grammarians took on the whole Russian Army. They were totally annihilated but remembered by posterity as the Four Horsemen of the Apostrophe.
