Thats the one. I always felt sorry for Will King though. He was quoted as saying he found it intense but also hugely rewarding and had been probed by the Iranians daily – 115 interactions in all!

The old gent is my great great uncle Garth ‘shiner’ Wright. Sadly died at the age of 99 a couple of years ago. He was a Dunkirk and Monte Cassino veteran and was an absolute legend of a bloke. He would have loved this tweet and your Twitter feed. Great morale.

The AB with Garth is AB Lauren Parsons. Picture was taken in Dunkirk 2015 on board a ‘Dunkirk Little Ship’ 75th Anniversary Return. I was the Warrant Officer in charge of the RN personnel. I met Garth on many occasions with the Dunkirk Ships. As you say - A true Gent & hero.

I'm still blaming sub-lieutenant Phillips for this... 'Left hand down a bit...'

Was this image of his daring captured by a Canberra?pic.twitter.com/eBw5cbpF7I

Yes, and it was the shockwave from it that turned the boat sideways.
