Fact of the Day: During WW1 the Boffins at LARPA painted a squadron of Spitfires in the markings of Messerschmitt 109E (Electric) bombers to confuse enemy. They should have used the Canberra assigned to the squad for photography as an identifier. Silly chaps.

The plane in the middle is a Canberra but unfortunately its also painted as german 109 Electric Messerschmitt planes. The camouflage is so successfull that its hard to identify it from spitfires aswell

Also little known fact : Those propellors on their tails gave them excellent lateral manouverability.
