Fact of the Day: Reheat is used to describe the moment a jet has its arse on fire but originates from 1917 when Soldiers would use the flame from a jet to reheat cold food in the trenches. These days Tornado F3 often use reheat to clear frost from the #RAFLuton runways #AvGeekpic.twitter.com/MAQYQ4lWR7

Reheat is fairly popular the day after the lads have been out for a curry.

Guys, that’s no Tornado F3 – that’s a Tornado F111, as you can clearly tell from the pointed nose.

The only reason Australia bought the F3 back in the late 60’s was because there was a fire starter shortage at the time and the airforce would do a low pass over the beach at sunset to light all the barbecues. Happy days them, no eyebrows, but plenty of well-cooked prawns.

Shifting into REVERSE is a tricky skill for any pilot, but especially so for swing-wing aircraft.

Limited online research and securely behind the VPN and several firewalls seems to show that swingers often use the reverse route.....
