As complex as aerial refueling is, the one part I don’t understand is payment. Is it fully electronic, or is there a discount for paying cash like at American petrol stations?

Each fuel hose has a piece of string along its side. That string has a small hook at the end where you can hang your credit card and the refueling plane operator can pull it up to process the payment.

Is it Diesel/ Unleaded or Electric. I mean if it's electric it will be flying about for hours waiting to charge up for that 150 miles worth.

Wrong!!! The KC-135 isn’t fast enough for the Shuttlebus. Only the KC-10 was fast enough.

All of the KCs are fast enough once they've been fitted with a sunshine band.

When I worked in air refuelling 1997 to 2005 it was Green Shield Stamps. As I left there was great excitement about upgrading to Tiger Tokens and World Cup collection coins.
